an external upload utility would be really helpful as that is what takes the longest, clicking around editing descriptions etc etc
i don't have decent acces to the SQL server to write and trigger etc to make any of the process easier
i am not sure how would be the best way but the spec would require
multi file select - with gallery description, price fields - or at least the framework to mod ourselves
FTP details for connection so that we could just batch upload - set and forget

| so what you suggest is a web upload utility, which allows you to select multiple pictures and upload them in single operation, you also can enter title and description for each picture before upload, is that right? |

mainly something that could automate so that you could leave 15, 20, 30 photos to upload - but one at a time, without having to click through or zip them up. then if possible have some way of setting a description, a price or other editable fileds |

| that would be good, as i consistantly have issues with the uploading zip files over 5MB, have followed previous instructions - maxrequest length - the time out optionis no where in the web config so a mod like this would resolve those issues and extend the functionality of UMG greatly |

as a visual idea of what i am talking about, somethnig close is the facebook Java applet for uploading is close to what i am thinking of. But with as much of the extra UMG fields as are possible to program in, maybe a text or CSV file that would correspond to each image (might be going a bit too far in terms of development time there) thanks for considering |

| if we decide to include it, I think we won't allow you to enter title and description in the upload process, however, you can change them after upload. |

| that would be fine i understand that would requre alot development time and is a nice to have more than anything - the automated/batch upload from a folder would be fantasic on its own |
