Hi, I have some question regarding this product, the question might abit silly but hope u don't mind.
1. Is Ultra Video Gallery capable to handle backend video encoding like YouTube? 2. Is Ultra Video Gallery design as backend video processing? 3. How many user & video processing transaction Ultra Video Gallery can handle concurrently? 4. Is Ultra Video Gallery suitable for setting-up a similar services like YouTube? 5. Since when Ultra Video Gallery is in market? 6. Notice that Ultra Video Gallery was develop using .NET technology, it mean that it will only work in Windows Server platform ? What if we are using Open Source platform? 7. If we purchase "Enterprise Edition With Source Code", will Biz Module Solution help us on installation? 8. If we purchase "Enterprise Edition With Source Code", will we be getting the complete source code?
Best Regards, Syl |

1, yes, once you pass the permission check in Configuration Wizard, UVG allows you to upload videos in almost all formats, UVG convert your videos to flv format when upload. 3, there isn't such an limitation, generally, to convert a short video takes less than 10 seconds, so your website is able to handle 1000+ new videos per day if you use dedicated server. however, in most case you don't have so much videos. 4, yes, but not so strong and powerful as youtube. you know, this is just a DNN module. 5, april 2007, it have been in snowcovered top sellers list every day after release. 6, please note UVG is a DNN module, it works in DotNetNuke only, you know .net works in windows platform only. 7, sure. 8, sure. thank you. |

1, the upload speeds depends on your bandwidth, it's irrelevant with UVG, you can try to upload it in DNN File Manager to know the average upload time. about the conversion speed, I just tried to upload a 101mb, 12 minutes avi video to UVG and it takes about 2 minutes to convert it. 2, maybe you can upload it to somewhere on your website and give me a link to download it. thanks. |

if you search in the forum you will see there isn't any other reports of this issue, at least I don't remember. however, there are a lot of video formats, there are verious encodings for avi, so it is suggested to try more videos before you buy. thanks. |
