This feature is not supported, but I'll consider it, I write it down in my suggested enhancement list.

Thanks.

this feature will be supported in the future, currently I think maybe you can realigh your page to put the RelationVideos to the left or VideoComments module, this will fix your problem.

thank you.

I did not understand what do you mean with "this will fix your problem". The problem is not the alignment of the content.

the problem is that the comments are NEVER loaded because they are too much.

you mean you can't see them?

I checked this url and I can see the comments, but it takes a few seconds to load it.

I suggested you to realign it because RelatedVideos module is placed below VideoComments module, if you can place RelatedVideos in the left of VideoComments, you will get better user experience.

thanks.

On this page:
http://web.quekura.com/Videos/VisordeVideo/tabid/74/VideoId/29/Default.aspx

Comments are not loaded until entire video is loaded in Firefox

In IE sometimes the page hangs until comments are loaded, sometimes comments are not loaded. Sometimes I get "error occurred" when loading, and sometimes also get error ocurred when trying to delete comments

I think that this is a very important fix becaus it is now affecting the usability of my portal.

I can't see videos in this link, I see a blank area, maybe you didn't configure module permission properly?

also, you should not get this problem, can you invite some friend to test it to see whether they get same problem?

Hi! I've been wating patiently for the paged comments future, and you have been promesing to add it in your next upgrade, you have made like 3 upgrades since you promised you'll add it, and nothing.

You should think that this is not as "critical" as other features you had add to the module, but consider that we have a lot of trafic, maybe we are the users with more views per video using your module. so please give this huge problem a little more importance.

please check the views and the comments on our page, we have videos with more than a 1000 comments! and it's causing a lot of problems in our site.

edgardo, I'm sorry I didn't post a follow up in this topic, when I promised to add this feature, I record it in the suggested enhancement list, and when I upgrade it, I didn't implement it exactly as you suggested(a series of numeric paging buttons), but all comments are displayed in a scrollable area with predefined height, so it don't corrupt your skin design.

thanks.

Hi Pengsten,

the problem is not the skin corruption, the problem is that comments does not load at all (at least in IE).

If you load the comments in a scrollable area the problem continues.

I think that the browser first gives priority to downloading the video and then loading comments.

The comment only loads when the video file is cached and visited for the second time.

Hi Pengsten,

Actually, in the second post on this thread, I commented you that IE hangs, does not load comments, or gets an error ocurred.

Please look at this page:
http://web.quekura.com/Videos/VisordeVideo/tabid/74/VideoId/31/Default.aspx

The vide has 750+ comments now and no comments are loaded, look below the post comment textbox, we actually put a Message warning the users that comments sometimes are not loaded. Because of this, we also get a lot of repeated comments

It is somewhat random, but the behavior is like this:

1. First view of the video: when you visit the video for the first time, the comments dont load about 90% of the time , depends if the comments are not a lot most possible cause is because the browser first download the .flv data and the comments loading times out.

2. Second view of the video: when you visit the video for the second time, because the .flv file is already cached, the browser now gives priority to the comments and they are loaded about 90% of the time, it depends if the connection is fast, when there are a lot of comments and the connection is somewhat busy with other apps, the comments does not load.

Did you visit the link I provided? Please let me know if you need further explanation, I think that I havent explained the problem well and there has been missunderstanding with the problem itself.

Thanks

no, I can't see it on my site, but on your site, maybe it only occurs with large amount of comments.
