Hello,

We purchased and activated UMG in March.  Yesterday, when trying to make some changes to the settings of UMG, I received a prompt for activation.  I located the original email with the serial number, copied it into the box and clicked Activate.  I received the following message:

"Successfully passed license validation, click Cancel to return.

If you are still required to activate this product, please ensure ASPNET account(or Network_Service account in WIN 2003) has WRITE permission on your /bin folder."

Pressing cancel then trying to edit the settings I am again prompted for the activation.  I have verified that the Network_Service account has Full permissions to the bin folder.

Any other suggestions to get around this?  Of course we are presnting this as part of a new website for client at a presentation tomorrow and need to make some changes to the settings for this presentation.  I have also emailed service@bizmodules.net requesting assistance.  Any immediate solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

if you already activated it before, UMG won't ask for reactivation, the only possible reason is insufficient permission set, please check it again.

you also can try to install a new DNN module, if the permission is insufficient you won't be able to install it.

Thank you for the response. The issue was corrected after resolving a permissions issue caused by an upgrade to DNN 4.8.x Although the account appeared to have the correct permissions, all accounts were affected. It appears that the issue is resolved.

Thanks,

Rob
