Just checking regarding the settings to implement this change:

"Gallery Manager" support, in prior versions, only users who have Edit Module permission in module-level are allowed to manage albums, however, in UMG 5.1 you can set some roles as "Gallery Managers" in Settings screen so these users are permitted to manage albums and pictures without having Edit module permission.

My goal is to allow a registered user to create and manage their own albums only.

Pengsten.. what I want is for users in a specified role to be able to add and edit their own albums. Can we do that yet...I am lost.

I'm sorry this is not supported, but if you configure UMG to run in User-Gallery mode, users can see his own photos only.

The problem with that is that users can still see and access all galleries on the module. If you could just add an option make the access only to albums they create, we're good to go, and it makes sense in the overall structure...

Why would you limit people to see only their own pictures but sill have access to all albums (other than a management role)

no, they shouldn't get access to all albums. something must be wrong. if possible, create an account for me on your website and let me take a look.

Hi guys, since this is a featured I would like to be implemented as well: what's the status, is this possible? If yes how, since I can't get it working as well.

Hi Pengsten, I know this is implemented but as Joseph said, all albums are open for editing which is not okay! Also, a more granular control about what they could fill in for a new album would be nice, since not all album settings are usefull for non-admin user. A more simple interface with all basic / mandatory fields would be nice.

Hope this helps.

ok, it seems I have to do some changes to the user-gallery feature available since UMG 5.

thank you for your suggestions.

Hi Pengsten. just checking in here.. any timeframe on updates to the user album isolation capability... once again, we need individual authorized users to be able to create and manage content for only their own albums. If anyone is interested in sponsoring this change with me please let me know!

I'm working on the 6th presentation provider for generic presentation pack, once I finish it I'll release generic presentation pack 2.0 and UMG 5.2 together, it may take 1 or 2 weeks.

If you need it now you can contact me by email.

thank you.
