Hi there, I'm looking for a solution to integrate with the Smart-Thinker User Profiles Module. http://www.smart-thinker.com/ProductsandModules/UserProfile/tabid/141/Default.aspx
This works by allowing the user to create their own custom user profile but currently does not have a personal image gallery. Would UMG handle this? It would need to load the user gallery based on a passed in UserID via query string.

currently not, but I plan to add this in the future, the main module will read UserId in querystring and display all pictures created by this user.

Thanks for getting back so quick. I do know there are a few people looking for a gallery solution that works with the smart-thinker system so maybe there is a market there for you?
In the interim is there a trial download of UMG I can use to test if it will work with my site or do I need to purchase a copy.

Hi Pengtsen,
Glad I found this thread (I am the author of the profile module). So here is my profile on PokerDIY -

As you can see - it uses the UserID in the URL ("ID") - would it be possible to put a Users gallery on this page with UMG 5? |

yes, you can take a look at "user gallery mode" chapter in UMG 5 user guide, your profile module is used to demonstrate how to integrate UMG with other products.

Ah, excellent - wish you had told me earlier - I get SO many requests for Galleries on Smart-Thinker and I keep saying I wont re-invent the wheel. I will set it up on PokerDIY and show my Smart-Thinker UserProfile users and it should generate sales for both of us ;)
I am still waiting for Snow to activate my order - this is torture - I want to install it ;) |
