Hi.  I just installed UMG 5 and then attempted to add an "Ultra Media Gallery" module instance to one of my pages.  When I did so, I received this error:

A critical error has occurred.
Could not load file or assembly 'AjaxPro, Version=6.10.6.2, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Ok.  I've read the Installation instructions under Help now and understand that another module, the Generic Presentation module, is required to make this work.  Had I known that my total investment today was going to be $100, I would not have purchased UMG in the first place.  It is simply not clear from your literature that TWO MODULES MUST BE PURCHASED AND DEPLOYED in order to make this work.

Having said that, I'm still in the same boat as before.  I purchased and installed the Generic Presentation module but I continue to receive the error above when attempting to install instances of the Ultra Media Gallery on any page.

Please help.

Make sure you have ajax enabled in module settings and also check your web.config file under "ASP.NET AJAX SUPPORT" and make sure the last line reads:

Hope this helps....

[add verb="POST,GET" path="ajaxpro/*.ashx" type="AjaxPro.AjaxHandlerFactory, AjaxPro.2" /]

Change "[" to "<"

Hope this helps....

Thanks.  I'll give that a try.  But before I do, can you tell me if I'm likely to go crashing down when I add that line?

Upon further reading---and reading is something I appear to do only when I've already done something silly---UMG supports 3.3.x and 4.3.x installations and higher.  I happen to still be using DNN 4.0.2.

Jeff Hayes, you are NOT requires to purchase the presentation pack to make UMG work, if you need it you can purchase it, but without it UMG works well.

Now let's back to your problem, please ensure the refer to ajaxpro is "Ajaxpro.2.dll", not "Ajaxpro.dll", if you still have trouble with it I'll be glad to help to help you to check this problem if you can create a host account for me.

thanks.

I checked that my web.config reads as stated in the previous post.  I sent you a private email with the account info you requested.

Thanks!

It seems the 1st build of UMG 5.0.2 is a bad version, please try to download it again on Snowcovered and it should fix your problem.

I'm sorry for all inconveniences.

Thanks for the quick fix!  It works now, but when I try out the new feature "Preferred Presentation", I see only UMG Classic and Headline as selections.  Could the other options have been accidentally left out in the latest versions?

Oops... I take back my last post, it looks like you're supposed to order the extra presentations.  They aren't included in the standard license.

yes, it is not included, I considered about this many times before UMG 5 release, if it is included, I have to increase the price of UMG 5, but some users may not need the extra presentations, so it is unfair to them. at last I decide to make it as a independent listing.

I'll add more presentations to the presentation pack if I get and cool suggestions from you, so don't hesitate to let me know if you have any good idea.

thank you.

Hello - I've just bought and installed UMG 5 - however as soon as I added the license key it disabled my site. I can no longer access DNN to try and reinstall the module - any suggestions?

Thank you

Hi Pengston.  It looks like my problems went away after upgrading to DNN 4.8.0 and reinstalling your new distribution of UMG 5.0.2 from 1/27.  Thanks!!
