I think it would be very nice if users could be notified via email when they get a comment on their works.

This would probably work best if there were a user ID based new comment module that has on the user display a check box to receive notification of new comments.
then even if they do not, they can still see the new coments on their profile page.

Not doing this makes the user have to check every photo one by one to see if there are comments (painful task if you have lots)

ok, thank you for your feedback so much, I'll consider this enhancement in next major upgrade.
