This module use standard email API in DNN to send emails, so if you can send email via Feedback module you should be able to send emails by this module too.
A possible reason is your email body is too simple, just like "test", I do konw that some email system will block this kind of email. please try to enter a whole sentence.
Thanks. |

I had this problem, went into the Host Settings and changed the SMTP configuration until I found one that worked. For me it was "basic" authentication and the mailserver's default user and password. I suppose thought that it depends on your hosting company.

| You're describing exactly what I experienced. I'm sure it's your SMTP Settings in Host Settings. Your feedback form probably goes to an email address on the same server as your portal, which will work okay even if your SMTP will not send out to a foreign server. I really think you should check this. |

Hi I am guessing that the email a friend script sends the email "from" the email address inserted in the from box. If the above is correct your smtp server may block the sending of this email if you have to authenticate to send emails and the "from" address is not recognised as an authorised address. I have the same problem; see below; 03/09/2007 19:27:37 General Exception AssemblyVersion: 04.05.05; PortalID: 0; PortalNa ... Well, if you implement this, please leave the option to us, because I rather want to have the mail to be delivered as being send by their mail adress, even when it went through an smtp relay. Maybe a setting inside the module? |
