I have been playing around with a Ventrian module called Property Manager and it has this really cool control that shows a google map where you can move a pin-point around and where ever you put it is shows the Longitude/Latitude for that point.

Now I was thinking. If UMG could have that same map on the photo upload wizard, and new tables in the Photo database for Longitude and Latitude could be added, then UMG could allow for simple geocoding of photos.

This option could be turned on from the admin wizard. If it is off, then no control is visible, if it is turned on, then make it visible.

As an added feature, if the point could be presisted when a user chooses "save and upload another image" then it would be easy for the user to add multiple photos to the same point.

What do you think? If you are already a Ventrian module subscriber then the source should be available to you and you can see how its done.
