I'm using UVG 6.9.1 and DNN 8.0.3 on Windows Server 2012 revision 16544. It appears that the complete video has to be pre-loaded in the player before it starts playing.

In one setup it works as expected. The video starts playing before the pre-loading bar reaches the end. U can see this here https://hbc.services/VideoPlayer/Vi...ive-Design

In another setup I am using the pre-roll ads: https://demo.hbc.services/Multimedi...Commercial
The advertisement starts playing before the pre-loading bar reaches the end but - the video itself has to wait till the pre-loading bar reaches the end.

I've been told before that the problem is related to insufficient permissions on \DesktopModules\UltraVideoGallery\Binaries\mp4box.exe
I've passed the permissions check. I've tried giving full control permissions to all users. I've tried using the "Run as Administrator" for all users in the properties of mp4box.exe
I've compared the settings on all the exe files in the Binaries folder with the new installation and the one I want it to work like but I see no difference.

I was also told to right click \DesktopModules\UltraVideoGallery\Binaries\mp4box.exe in resource manager > properties > Compatibility , Check "Allow non-admin to run this program" but there is no resource manager in windows server 2012.

Can anyone offer some advice on how I can solve this issue.

Did you pass the permission check?

It is a common problem on DNN websites which cannot pass the permission check. Some video encoders put video meta information(resolution, bit rate...) at the end of the video file. so UVG has to fully download it before being able to play it. If you passed the permission check, UVG will automatically move the meta information to the header of the file when you upload it.
