We are using your module to schedule training events, however we are now encountering an issues that I am trying to figure out a way around. In our situation its important to know if an event is going to make it or not so we set a cut off date for registration. This is so we can ensure we have enough lunches and training books prepared for the attendees. However by just adding a cut off date to the description doesn't help becasue most of the time people are not reading and registering at the last moment.

Is there an easy way to add a registration cutoff date without altering the source code. This way the event could be taken offline and or inform the end user that its past the cut off date and not allow users to register.

Also would it be possible to add a means to put a minimum number of people needed for an event to make. Sort of like the maximum number that can register that is currently implemented.

    Thanks,

    Doug

So, an event goes live when it reachs minumum registrations, and it automatically cancels if it does not reach the minumum value at the cus off date. Is that right?

If so, this is not supported by flex events, you might still need to do it manually. However, this seems to be a nice feature to have, and I'll review it in future upgrades.

An event will be started on the date schedule as log as the minimum number is reached. This way we know enough attendees will attend to make sure the event is profitable for us to do. In our case most events will support a max of 20 or so people. However depending on travel expenses and how many instructors needed to do the event will dictate what the minimum number of attendees are needed. For example if the max is 20 we may need 12 for the event to be profitable.

So if you have a cut off date that can be assigned that would be 3 to 5 days prior to the event date. The system would not allow anyone to register, and automatically send a notice out to anyone that registered, informing them that the event didn't make.

Also is there a way to prevent events from showing in the list once the start date is reached. It seems that they stay in the list for the length of the event schedule.

I recorded your suggestion and this will be reviewed in future upgrades.
