    DNN 7.4.2 / Flex Events 1.8.4

    Hello,

    When adding a recurring event over a period, only a limited no. of entries appear in the list.
    For example, a weekly event on wednesday appears only in the first 4 months. For the rest of the year, there is no entry shown.

    Regards
    Manfred

    It is my understanding that the developer limits the number or results shown. I had expressed concern regarding the matter because we schedule things for a whole year and that should be a end user controlled setting.

    It is absolutely ok, to limit the recurring results. But not for a few months. 1 year should be mapped at least.

    Don't worry. Though Flex Events does have such a limitation(to create only a few entries, 16 actually, for a recurring events), we designed to way to change this.

    Now please open config.xml in flex events folder. You can find this section:

    <maxappearance>
    <pattern name="Periodically" times="16" />
    <pattern name="Monthly" times="4" />
    <pattern name="Annually" times="2" />
    <pattern name="Weekly" times="16" />
    </maxappearance>

    You can customize the value in the 4 nodes to set the max appearance of a recurring event.

    thanks.
