I am trying to configure a trial version of Flex Events 1.8 and it looks like if I define colors for specific event categories that those colors should show up somehow (background color I believe) in the Event Calendar to differentiate between types of calendar events when there are multiple events on a given day. When I look at the code (and the rendered code in the browser), it seems as though those CSS styles are not being rendered.

Can anyone shed some light on a solution to this? This would be a deal breaker if I can't get this to work as my implementation of this calendar will require a multitude of events to occur on a single date and color would be an ideal way to differentiate.

    Thanks in advance.

It is easy to display these colors as backgrounds, but I found out the overall layout is extremely ugly to have different texts will colorful backgrounds. That is why these colors are not used as text backgrounds.

However, you can find a drop down list on top right corner to filter events by categories. The colors are used here.

The color is also used in many other places throughtout the product.

So you say it's easy but you won't tell me how to do it or you won't allow it to be done? That seems counter-productive. They say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." wouldn't it be better to allow the end user to make the final determination on what their website should, or should not look like? I'm fairly certain that, since I can define my own colors for categories, I could come up with a palette of complimentary colors that would both look nice and provide some instant feedback as to the types of events occurring on any given day.

I can add such an option for you(for free) if this is what you need. You will get an option in "Module Settings" to enable this option. Once enabled, your category background will be displayed as the background color of the event title.

I can only add for you if you have purchased this product. Contact us by email for further details.

    Thanks.
