Hi,
I went through the process of booking an event. which takes me to PayPal, where I made the payment and then returned to the site but it says my booking was not paid. How can this be fixed so that bookings show paid after a successful PayPal payment.

I wanted to bump this because it is very important that this works properly.

Has anyone else experienced this?
I am running DNN 7.4 and Flex Events 1.5.1

I need your full website access to investigate this issue, can you email your DNN website login credentails and FTP login credentials? if possible, also setup an event which only cost 1 cent.

In my case the issue was that the Paypal email used in the module had to match the PRIMARY Paypal email on my account. I had two email addresses on PayPal and once I used the primary one in Flex Events, it worked. Hope that helps!

Thanks for your clarification.

Let me share some further detail about this issue.

Paypal notifies Flex Events when a payment is made, and Flex Events then mark the corresponding invoice as paid. However, the payment receiver notified by Paypal must match the payment receiver you entered in Flex Events. Otherwise Flex Events is confused and refuse to adjust the validity of this payment.

You just lost me....what is the paypal reciever? Isn't that simply the paypal address we used in the module settings->Paypal ID? Why wouldn't it be the same?

In most cases for most people it would be the same, but in my case I have more than one email on my PayPal account. The issue I discovered is that I MUST use the PRIMARY email on my PayPal account with this module.

Mine already matches (although I have a couple of emails in my paypal account, and I still see the same behavior.

Hmmm... not sure then. It immediately began working when i changed the email in the module payment settings to the primary in PayPal.

Hopefully the developer will respond or you could send him a support request.

When paypal notifies Flex Events a payment is made, it tells Flex Events the receiver of this payment. Flex Events expects this receiver to be the as the email address you entered in Flex Events. If not, Flex Events does not know what is going on, and it refuse to admit the validity of this payment.
