We are embedding videos that have been uploaded to UVG (and stored in Amazon S3) in another site (based on www.mindtouch.com), but we've noticed that both the embed code and direct URL reference uvg.swf, which requires the Flash Player to display. When we try to embed a video in another site, and then view that site on an iPad, nothing shows up of course because there is no Flash Player available. If I view the video directly in UVG on an iPad I can look at the page source and see the actual URL pointing to Amazon to load the mp4 video, but is there an easier way to get an embed code or direct URL that does not require the Flash Player?

direct URL: http://<server>/DesktopModules/UltraVideoGallery/uvg.swf?vId=25&portalId=0

embed code (taken when viewing the video on an iPad):
<object allowFullScreen='True' allowScriptAccess='always' allowNetworking='all' width='620' height='413'><param name='movie' value='http://<server>/DesktopModules/UltraVideoGallery/uvg.swf' /><param name='allowFullScreen' value='true' /><param name='flashvars' value='vId=17&portalId=0&baseUrl=http://<server>/DesktopModules/UltraVideoGallery/' /><embed src='http://<server>/DesktopModules/UltraVideoGallery/uvg.swf' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' allowFullScreen='True' allowScriptAccess='always' allowNetworking='all' width='620' height='413' flashvars='vId=17&portalId=0&baseUrl=http://<server>/DesktopModules/UltraVideoGallery/'></embed></object>

Thanks in advance!

John

Thanks! Is there anything you can suggest that I can do in the meantime as a workaround?
