All of my clients videos seem to have a black first frame and therefore black thumbnail or "Screenshot"
How, where and when during the upload process would I or could I change thhe Screenshot used to represent my videos?

Thanks in advance.

maybe you can set "auto play" to "no".

My problem is that my videos do not have screenshots. How do I create or make screenshots so that video list look better. Right now my video list simply shows a bunch of black frames that say "screenshot not available"?

Thanks

did you pass the permission check? if you pass it UVG will be able to capture screenshots from videos.

I just verified and ran the permission check again. Yes I did pass. Still do not have screenshots. Thoughts?

Thanks for the help

If we can figure out what is not working, is there a way to instruct the system to re-capture screenshots for exsisting video's?

Thanks

it seems to be a problem with your video, what software did you use to produce these flv files?

I have tried other formats and settings all to the same end effect.

I am using the following
Adobe Premier Elements 4.0

Settings: ntsc flash video 7 256k
320 x 240 30 fps
MPEG Layer III, 64 kbps
CBR, 256.00

Video Codec: Sorenson Spark

If I create my own screen captures is thier a way to assign them or associate them to the videos?

you can find out the url of the screenshot, and manually upload your screenshot to overwrite it.

did you try to upload any other videos? from a different origin.

Thanks, umm... sorry for my lack of knowledge on this. Where would I find the URL of the screenshot?

I have tested other formats such as mov +++ however they do not have the same quality video that the FLV format does.

I will try to create an FLV video from another machine / software package and see if I have any more sucess. Are you able to download and load the video's?

in IE, right click the screenshot, choose properties, then you can see its url.

OMG,,,,, Well since my client had recently purchased a new vid camera, I never thought to look at what the latest version was on his Premier Elements. As stated above he was using Ver. 4.0

So 50 hours of work and effort latter, we discovered that if we updated to Version 9.0 all works well.....

With shame on my face, I thank you for your time.
