Architecture

• Support 4 kinds of medias: images, videos (.flv / .mp4), audios and flash movies(.swf).
• Can be configured to run in 4 different modes. you can either mentain the gallery by your self or let your site users to contribute their work.
• UMG 7 comes with 30+ Flash and HTML presentations, each presentation has its unique appearance.

Albums support

• Organize medias by albums, an "album" could be a product category, a specific date range, a travel destination, a family member... etc.
• Many presentations allow you to create unlimited albums in each gallery instance.

• Use mouse drag & drop to resort albums.
• When enable auto resizing on an album, large images will be resized down automatically.

Easily add medias

• Use our free IOS applicaton, UMGUploader, to upload photos from your iPhone.

• Automatically creates a thumbnail for every media uploaded.
• Upload bulk medias from your local computer via our Flash uploader or tranditional HTML uploader.
• Upload a ZIP with multiple files inside.

RSS

• UMG publishs RSS feed.
• UMG can subscribe to any RSS feed with media extension.
• Subscribe to a Flickr or Picasa RSS feed.
• Automatically refreshs subscribed RSS feeds.

Permissions

• Admin users can control which roles have full access to a gallery.
• Admin users can separately control which roles are able to upload/approve/manage/view in each album.
• Permissions can also be set on individual users.

Google maps

• If you take photos by iPhone or other cameras which include a GPS chip, UMG is able to read the information where you took it, if your camera doesn't include GPS chip, UMG allows you to manually mark this point on Google maps.
• When view a photo, Show on Google maps the place where the author took it.
• If you are a frequent traveler or you are building a community website, you can use UMG-FreeContentList module to display a world map or specific area map with red markers of places which have photos, so your visitors may know: "Oh, you have been to Africa!" and click a marker to see photos you took in this area.

Integrate with 3rd party products

• UMG can be seamlessly integrated with Amazon S3, you can securely store your pictures in datacenters of amazon to save your disk space and bandwidth cost.
• You have Ultra Video Gallery 4 installed on same website? UMG can use UVG's video encoding engine to encode videos online, with this integrateion you can upload videos in any format.
• You have Active Social 1.8+ installed on same website? UMG can post a event to active social once a new media is uploaded.

Community features

• Some presentation offers an URL to share the current media .
• When work in Personal Gallery mode, offers a unique URL to share one's own medias.
• You use any profile module? you can use UMG-FreeContentList module to show photos from this user when view one's profile.

Security

• Attach a predefined watermark to uploaded images.
• Medias can optionally be approved before making public.
• Use Disk Quota feature to set the maximum medias an user can upload.
• Each image can have a "raw file", which can either be manually uploaded or automatically saved, raw file are saved in secured place.

EXIF information of photos

• Read taken date from EXIF header for sorting purpose .
• Some presentations allow you to see the EXIF information inside the viewer or in a independent page.

User interface

• Use keyboard instead of your mouse to do the navigation. Back, Forward, Play, Stop, etc. This feature is available in many presentations and lightbox view.
• Localize it to your own language.
• Search medias via DNN search or UMG's dedicated search module.
• Rate and comment a media.
• List images in calendar grid, you can get an overview of all new images added in a month, click a day or week to see pictures added in this day or week.
